We're in the heart of Midtown Kingston, right off Broadway at 21 Oneil Street. We've put our own touches and spin on the place, to make sure it reflects our unique style, personality and values.
We intalled a brand new premium sound that is designed to be there, but also allow you to talk, laugh and hang most comfortably.
A big renovation in the huge courtyard, new art, cozy firepits and a place we hope creates many memories for all of our friends and regulars. We've got cool things planned out there, and can't wait to see how it plays out.
Lights are low, the spirits are high. Our founder and owner Steven Ives has lived many lives, and brings a wealth of experiences to the table. Steven is also an author, so you may detect a bit of a literary flavor in the place. *wink*
Our Story is a Simple One
In a world that keeps getting louder, we wanted to create a place at a more reasonable volume. A place where you can hear your friends laugh. A place where the music stays in the air, and not in your face.
Kestrel Tavern was born from a desire to get back to the basics: a comfortable chair, a quality drink, and good company. We are a reflection of our vibrant community, which is why our taps, our back bar, and our food partners all showcase the incredible independent talent in the Hudson Valley.
We're not trying to reinvent the wheel. We're just opening a comfortable and welcomeing place to ride this crazy rock arond the sun. We're proud to be your local, your hideaway, and your spot to feel right at home.
